The commercial process for production of Bio-Res  has been successfully demonstrated on a pilot basis at Iowa State University (ISU).  Our pilot plant near Laurel, NE produced about 90,000 lbs. of Bio-Res  for commercial trials.  Commercial testing is underway by potential users in injection molded, roto molded, films, adhesive and fiber applications.

The first production facility will be located in Laurel, Nebraska at a site within the community's industrial park.  The plant is anticipated to produce 48 million pounds of pellet product annually.

It is estimated that the initial plant will employ between 15 to 25 people, thereby providing a measurable economic impact for the community and the State of Nebraska.

The initial feedstock for producing Bio-Res will be distillers grains, a by-product of corn ethanol production.  It is a non-food source of feedstock that is readily available and easy to transport and store.  The first plant is estimated to use 115,000,000 pounds wet grains per year.  There are over 750,000,000 pounds per year of wet grains available within 45 miles of the initial plant site.
